I can only agreed with all 5 star reviews of Mr Pickersgill on this site. He’s not just an exceptional consultant and surgeon he’s the most caring doctor I’ve ever met too. His surgical intervention - removing a number of fibroids (After dreadful advice from another doctor) and during multiple miscarriages over the last 4 years has taken me from being unable to have kids to finally having our ‘rainbow’ baby three months ago. I really can’t put into words what an incredible practitioner and human being he is - I honestly don’t believe I’d be sat here with my beautiful healthy baby now if it wasn’t for him, his patience, skill and support during some very dark times. Mr Pickersgill is a very special human being and I’d trust him with my life - I have done five times now. Incredible man. Don’t hesitate if you need a second opinion or any help re Gynae issues. He’s the leader in his field - you couldn’t be in safer hands as all the zillion reviews on this site testify. Very lucky to have someone like him operating in the north of England.

I have been a patient of Andrew Pickersgill for 12 years now and I can say that he is the best doctor that I have ever come across. He is a highly skilled, competent, professional and extremely hardworking surgeon. Not only is he an excellent surgeon, top of his specific field but he is also a wonderful kind and caring person who gives so much of his time to help his patients. He often treats the more difficult cases of endometriosis, which I can say has been the case for me, as I had severe stage 4 endometriosis and I was so lucky to find him, after not being helped by other doctors over the years. I trust him 100% and he always responds to my messages, giving up his time freely on many occasions to help me with no fee requested. He is not interested in making money and he genuinely cares about his patients; so many times he has helped me without asking for a fee. He is sympathetic, sincere and honest; he certainly has integrity. I can say all this because I have been his patient for so long and he has never let me down. He did my two very successful endometriosis operations (one at Stepping Hill hospital and one at Wythenshawe hospital) and I can say that I now have no pain and no problems regarding my endometriosis thanks to Mr. Pickersgill. He truly is my hero, a wonderful man. I also have epilepsy and although it is controlled now, it was not when I was seeing him and he was wonderful with my epilepsy and the anxiety it caused. A few years ago I had cancer and needed chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy and again he helped me and he was genuinely concerned about this diagnosis and he is always so understanding. I have seen him both on the NHS and as a private patient and I can say that he treated me exactly the same in all situations, so he is not interested in making money. You might have to sit in the waiting room a bit longer in order to see him but this is because he spends so much time with each of his patients; I would wait 6 hours or days to see him because he is the only doctor who actually made me feel that my case was important. I will never forget how this man helped me and he always makes me feel relaxed and safe which I need having had epilepsy, cancer and endometriosis. My husband is also very impressed with Mr. Pickersgill and says he is a wonderful man. I would also like to say that his secretary Karen is also extremely competent and always responds to questions immediately.

I was a very anxious potential Grandma following some risks having been identified in my daughter's pregnancy. Mr Pickersgill agreed to speak with both me and my daughter. He listened to our worries, was very knowledgeable about her condition, explained everything clearly, gave good advice and was very reassuring. I wish she could continue to be his patient but unfortunately this is not the case. However his input has proved invaluable in enabling her to relax and hopefully enjoy the rest of her pregnancy. I should also say that he gave his time freely and payment was clearly not his agenda.

Paid for a consultation regarding my condition. The consultation lasted 25 minutes. I was promised an interim treatment and was told he would contact me. I didn’t hear anything. Ended up in A & E. I felt like the dr was just after the money, or patient care.

I just wanted to say what a fantastic consultant Mr Pickersgill is. Having been told previously after my initial diagnosis of endometriosis that there was little they could do to help me and it was likely I would be infertile, I was devastated. My very first appointment with Mr Pickersgill gave me hope again, he not only took the time to listen to me but he fully explained my options in a caring and compassionate manner. Following treatment, in 2019 I was lucky enough to be under his care once again for the birth of our little boy. This is something I will be forever grateful to Mr Pickersgill for as without his skills end expertise, I would likely not have been able to conceive.
